
About Me
My name is Somnarng Sin (though I prefer to go by Som), and I am an avid fan of video game stories. I grew up surrounded by incredibly clever uses of the videogame medium, and now I strive to bring that same level of innovation into the games I create!
I have published 3 complete games to itch.io. My narrative analysis paper won Gold in the 2024 GDC Narrative Review Competition. Throughout the game creation process, I have gained extensive experience utilizing narrative tools to draft and implement conversations into Unity. I often operate cross-discipline during the narrative and game design process, working collaboratively with artists and programmers alike.
Some of my favorite game stories of all time include FFXIV, the Metal Gear franchise, Disco Elysium, anything by Daniel Mullins, and the delightfully dark Dishonored franchise. As a Narrative Designer and Writer, I aim to create compelling narratives similar to those that have brought me joy and sorrow throughout the years.
